Not aware of any option to do this. Word regards it as two totally separate documents because you have saved it that way.

Highlight the entire second document right click, select copy and then paste onto the end of the first document. When adding page numbers to a Word document, can you make it start the numbering from something else besides';1?
This way. Note: These two methods expect the page number to have already been placed in the header or footer. This just changes its starting number.

In versions of Word prior to Word 2007:

1. Click the Insert-%26gt;Page Number menu item.

2. Click the Format button.

3. Put the 51 in the Start At combination box.

4. OK out of everything.

In Word 2007:

1. Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon.

2. Click the Page Number button in the Header and Footer group.

3. Click Format Page Numbers.

4. Continue as in Step 3, above.

Hope that helps.
If you are using office2007 go to insert tab, then click on page numbers and then select format page number. A pop will display, in that there is a option page number, set start at to whatever you want.
