My first page is a cover page and my actual paper starts on the second page. How do I number the second page as ';1';, the third as ';2'; and so forth? How do you start page numbering after first page in MS word?
Here's how:

1. Click the Insert-%26gt;Page Numbers menu item.

2. Uncheck the Show number on first page checkbox.

3. Click the Format button.

4. Click the Start At radio button.

5. In the Start At list box, enter a zero. (This makes the second page page ';1';.)

6. Click OK.

7. Click OK again.

That should do it. Note: If there's already a page number field on the pages, this may put in a second one. If so, edit it out by hand. How do you start page numbering after first page in MS word?
