How do you get automatic numbering when using word and an avery 5167 template?

I want to start at a specific number say 67343 and continue numbering from there on each label automaticallyHow do you get automatic numbering when using word and an avery 5167 template?
Assuming you're doing a mail merge and using Excel or Access as your data source, the easiest way would be to create another field with the number in it (Edit-%26gt;Fill in Excel, AutoNumber in Access) and reference that field in the label template.





This would also provide you with a fixed reference as to what name/address got what number.





There is a way to put Word auto sequence fields in the labels, but it gets more complicated.

use excel with one columm list of 67343 (a). On another columm 1,2,3 etc down the list(b). Then use formula =concatenate(a:b)
