Anyone knows about any numbering stamp that could count total number of pages in a document?

I have to number document pages at work. Since each set is a collection of different documents, I have a stamp ';Page ____ of ____'; which I use to number the whole packet. It's time consuming. Anyone knows of any new technology out there that could automate this?Anyone knows about any numbering stamp that could count total number of pages in a document?
What I would do is create a blank document in Word on the PC for the number of pages you need total. In the 'FOOTER' section you can include a macro for page numbers (page # of #) -that will automatically enter all the information. Don't worry, it is easy to do this. Then after making sure the numbers would print in the correct portion of the page, I would load the document into the printer, and let the printer do all the work.
