Is there a special tool bar for customizing an invoice?I have'; microsoft exel 2007';, I'm a BEGINNER , and need to know how to do sequential invoice numbering
In the first cell of the range that you want to number, type =ROW(A1).
The ROW function returns the number of the row that you reference. For example, =ROW(A1) returns the number 1.
Drag the fill handle (fill handle: The small black square in the lower-right corner of the selection. When you point to the fill handle, the pointer changes to a black cross.) across the range that you want to fill.
Tip If you do not see the fill handle, you may have to display it first. For more information, see Display or hide the fill handleI have'; microsoft exel 2007';, I'm a BEGINNER , and need to know how to do sequential invoice numbering
Im assuming you mean and easy way to number 1-500, or to put the date for 5 years on there.
do this,
in cell B2 put the number 1
in cles B3 put the number 2
then highlight both, and put the cursor over the very bottom right of the bottom cell, CLICK and DRAG down like 20 spaces. it should number 1-20 you can do that forever.
for the date, put the date in b2 5/5/2008
in b3 put 5/5/2008
then do the same it will date them for as long as you drag down
