Automatic page numbering in InDesign CS3?

I have been working for several years as a Graphic Designer. This week have decided to switch over to InDesign CS3 from Quark. I am quite the wiz in Quark and am getting along quite good in InDesign.

However, I cannot figure out how to have automatic page numbering. It must be silly but I can't find the option. In Quark, in your master you simply had to add %26lt;#%26gt;

Can anyone she light on this?

Thanks in advance.Automatic page numbering in InDesign CS3?
If you want a page number to appear on all pages based on a master, create the page number text frame on a master page. In addition to the page number, you can add other header and footer variables, such as the creation date or file name

Position the insertion point where you want the page number to appear, and then choose Type %26gt; Insert Special Character %26gt; Markers %26gt; Current Page Number.
